we feed him small amounts throughout the day which is what u r supposed to but hes just still fat and he acts like hes never eaten before.... i dunno what to do........ i cant starve him or it makes him want more food when u set it down..... i think its time for a vet's opinion.......

How can a cat get that fat??!! Wait a minute.. If it is (was) a boy cat, did you have his marbles surgically removed? That might explain it..

LOL I have a cat JUST LIKE THAT!!!! In the winter he comes indoors & just gets huge from lack of exercise, then once summer hits he goes back outside & loses it. Maybe he just needs more exercise? My "Wiley cat" weighs in about 15-18 in the winter. But ya never know maybe something is wrong but I doubt it

Vet time.
My dog had a thyroid problem. He was always lazy and would gain weight no matter what diet we put him on. At one point he was around 160lbs. We have him on 2 thyroid pills a day now. He is down to around 130-140lbs and has way more energy. Something you might want to look into.
