Looking to put in my airbox vents (6 of them) and was wondering where the best place on the lid was to put them? There is open area in the air box behind the filter that seems good in case any water made it in there, or 3 on each side toward the front on the sides of the filter. Any insight on this? Thanks.:confused2

I'd say the top would be best, that's what everyone does around here.

mostly what i have seen and had i have done to mine is buy an outerwear cover and cut out all of the top lid that sticks above the rest then put the outwear below it and close the lid over it

I just intalled my UNI vent plugs friday before I went up to Sand Mountain for the weekend. I could definitely tell she was breathing better up there this time around! As for where to drill, I just drilled from the bottom to make sure I didn't go through the reinforcement ribs on the bottom of the lid. FWIW, I drilled 3 rows of 2 holes (looking at box from back of quad) on the rear half of the cover.

Thanks everyone!!

If I did drill them all to the back of the lid, if any water came in it would not drip onto the airfilter, because the filter doesn't come back that far, right?:confused2

That's exactly why I drilled all 6 holes toward the rear of my airbox lid...
