Do a search on chains. Im sure you'll find out either DID or RK. but whatever you do make sure you get a 0-ring chain!! ;)

Last ride at WNF, I dam near threw my chain cuz it was soooo loose - didn't start out that way. Totally my fault, I waited too long to replace it, I knew it was bad. Rob was impressed..NOT! Learn my lessson....don't wait. lol.

They say it provides excellent low friction performance and has 1.5 to 2 times greater wear resistance than a standard oring chain..

sweet sounds like x ring is the way to go

I got my RK X-Ring a couple weeks ago... so far so good for me! I was pretty impressed with the quality, and saved about 20 bucks compared to the DID chain.

I have heard that the DID master links are better than RK.

Better? In what way? Um, it's basically just a regular link with posts that are slotted for a removable retainer instead of smashed on with the plate in there permanently... what could be different? Not arguing, just curious....

DID X rings, time for sprockets too if the chain is worn out, you'll ruin the new chain if your sprockets are worn, FYI....

I have heard of several RK master links breaking. I have never heard of a DID master link breaking. So, if Rk is the same chain but cheaper, I, personally, would get the RK chain but would at least try to put a DID master link on it.

If it were me, Id just stick with the stock, but since yours is worn, id go with the DID x-ring chain. The stocks are somethings better than you think so if youre going to replace, at least replace it with something better and since stock if DID, Id go with the same company.

The retainer on my DID master link busted when we tried put it on. Worked out OK when we did Rob's chain last year tho. Hhmmmm.
:( We had another master link that we had to press on mine... it was a pain but we got it on.

I have an RK X-ring on mine. Funny, I hadn't heard anything about the master links on the RK. But I did NOT like the way it went on. I have not busted it yet. But we'll see. Jenny, the new chain will be perfect and no doubt your sprockets will have some dip or cupping to them, (if not, then your chain shouldn't have worn out provided that you were lubricating it properly). I replaced both front and rear when I got my new chain.

Indeed, as cheap as sprockets are, you definitely want to replace both ends when you get a new chain. I went down one tooth in the front and up one in the rear to a 14/39 when I changed my chain, and I love this combo, and I barely had to adjust my chain when I replaced it...

If you don't want to go through a change replacement again for a long, long time, go with a Sidewinder. Expensive but will outlast the others by 3-4 replacements.

The loss in performance would only be noticed by the most elite riders on an mx track. If you are into riding in the trails, this is a really good chain along with the Ti sprockets.
