piercing you ear?

i was planning on piercing my ear on my left side at close to the top of the ear with like a hoop type thing, i was wondering how much it hurts, i don't want to sound like a baby, i just wan tto know what it feels like thanx.

i'd love to be able to tell ya but i couldn't. i had my ears peirced at the bottom when i was like 3 months old so i can't remember that.....and i've never had the top done yet.....
but i'd like to know that too cuz i'm planning on gettin it done here like at the end of the month:eek2:

1 of my cousins, he got it done. but my science teacher was sayin that its not good to pierce cartlidge and all that stuff. and that if could possibly turn to bone somehow:confused2 i can't remember how...he gave us this big lon explination on it. but as usual...i wasn't payin attention:p but he never told me how much it hurt....but my aunt she had it done and she said it hurt so bad that she finally was jus like screw it and took it out. but it all depends on the person i guess. its scary when gurls have like 20 hoops on the tops of there ears...now THAT would hurt:eek2:

I pierced mybottom by myself and that didnt hurt at all. I pierced it twice. But where you want to do it there is alot of cartilage so it might hurt a lil.

i am goona take a few advil before just in case, i heard that is hurts more when you are sleeping the first night than when you get it pieced

I did mine myself too....Saftey pin ice and a half of an apple....numb your ear with the ice....put apple behind your ear so when you shove the pin through it dont stab you in the head and it wont hurt till the ice wears off....even then it donmt hurt tooo bad....good luck....

ive have both the bottoms of my ears pearced and gauged to 14. My brother has his cartaliged peirced and he got it done say, maybe 9 months ago and he said he still cant sleep on that side of his head at night. So he just takes it out before he goes to bed. My sister had gotten 2 of them on the same ear and it hurt til she took them out. So im not even gunna bother getting it peirced

I peirced the bottom myself at a track meet with a saftey pin. Didnt hurt one little bit. Its kinda hard to get the pin through your ear though. I had to peirce it about 5 times that day, cause i kept changing earrings and the hole closed up.

I have my left ear pierced and gauged to an 8..i plan on going to a 4 gauge (for those of you who arent familiar with these terms..a 4 gauge is about the size of a cigarette or pen) One of my buddies has his gauged to a Half Inch.

well i went and it didn't hurt a bit, it just feels like you are getting a needle for a vacsine in your arm, it still stings a d bit and i hope i don't role over onto it in my sleep. i got an earing because i can always take it out, and beisde i am only 16 and my parents don't want me getting a tatoo

lol...ear piercing is great....it doesn't hurt at all...usually just a lil warm pressure...depending if yew get it done at a tatoo/piercing parlor or some lil store...get it done at a parlor it's painless....

In my younger years, it was like catnip (2holes left ear, before everyone was doing it here, '88). I let em close up while in the Army. Old guys with piercings look like friggin fruity-pies or like their in their mid-life crisis. And no it doesn't hurt that bad, I did my second simply (took a long time, cartilege is tough!) putting a needle though my earlobe. Have it professionally done if you do. My opinion is don't do it though, if you go into some job fields it may work against you.

No it doesnt hurt....at all. But I've heard mixed things about cartlidge (sp?).

I have the top of my ear done and it hurt like a MFB after i came home went swimming and the boyz were playin football in the pool and hit my ear with the damn ball but when i got it done it didnt hurt at all but that was when i was 13 now i'm 19... but it still hurts at times when i sleep on that side.. i guess you gotta deal with the pain if you like it :) Just like when i got my belly button done i couldnt sleep on my tummy for like 3 months o well... the sleepless nites were well worth it :)

And I have to agree I love guys with piercings and tattoo :)

i got my cardilage done and it didn't hurt at all last night, didn't even hurt when the professional piercer did it, i got a hoop type thing with a blue metallic bead on it

Got both ears done.Doesn't hurt one bit.Heck, i used a needle and a candle to do them. they are only 18 gauge and will be 14 tommorow. I have had them for about one year and I am 19 now.
