Burgards A arms +1 +1

I am looking to get some +1 a arms. I don' t race MX but do allot of woods, open fire roads, and some track riding. I don't jump real big either.
My question is The price of the burgards is a fair price. Is anyone having a problem where the shock mounts. Others have better support around the shock mount. The +1 foward is what i am not sure of. I have heard on this site and from other a arm builders that +1 foward is not needed.
What are the disadvantages of having a +1 foward. Will it effect my shocks set up for stock / with 1 1/2" spacers.

Any help would be great.

I just ordered a set of +1's, I asked him about the forward amount and he said it was only about 1/4" forward.
