Spark arrestor for Oregon dunes??

Are spark arrestors required for the Oregon dunes? I know they are for forest lands, but am not 100% sure for the dune areas.

Yes spark arrester are required for the Oregon dunes. There is also a dB limit if you didn't already know that. You have to be 93 dbs or lower.

Actually, I called the Siuslaw National Forest today and was transfered to the legal department for the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. According to "Jim" with the ODNRA it is not in the manual anywhere that they are required on the sand. In addition, he mentioned they certainly do not check for Spark Arrestors. However, here is the kicker. He said "If an officer asks you for a Spark Arrestor and you don't have one, you will be ticketed". This seems strange since he said it is not law written anywhere for the Siuslaw National Forest. I am not sure how they could do that.
