hi
I was wondering if i could make a CR250 street legal?

I was thinking of getting a dirtbike. but i also wanted to be able to drive it on the roads too.

If i could what would i all need to do so?

I have seen cr500's street legal but I think it depends on the laws in your area:ermm: I dont know if you can register them as street legal now though:ermm:

You can make a goat legal if you got plates, lights, registration, and insurance on it.

You seem to be forgetting that in order to run ANY of the lighting that you MUST have in ANY state and/or country, you will be needing an ignition that has a 12 volt power source, which the CRs don't. In order to get it, you're going to be spending some serious cake on a new ignition, flywheel, stator, etc. Then, you can throw on top of that all the other goodies that you'll have to get before you can even have it inspected for a plate, such as exhaust, tires, etc.............

If you're looking to street-legalize an off-road bike, just buy a dual-sport bike that's street legal to begin with! Or at LEAST buy something like an XR that will only cost you about $450 to make fully street legal.

yeah you can! Get street legal tires.. Blinkers front and back, brake light, and you can mount a headlight on it. get a it licensed and insured. it isnt that hard to mount a battery somewhere on it.. You can get a stock muffler and repack it to make it quieter or just stay in you gears higher so its not all bing bing more burr burr:p

actually, in some states i've heard that if you don't have blinkers you can just use hand signals. i don't know about you but you might want to check because it will be a lot easier

as long as you can ride with one arm:blah:
