Has anyone bought the CT Racing slip on w/ jet kit?

Yeah dude i just got my ct a couple days ago that pips sounds mean and the dyno charts show it to be one of or the best slip on for the 400ex all the way from 1/4 throttle to the top end of the bike significant gains not all choppy like other slip ons!! YEAH BABY CT ROCKS!!!:devious:

How good is the instructions and the jetting? Did you use 12 disks? Did the needle come w/ the jet kit? What size main jet did you use?

I didn't buy mine from ct, on their website it says titanium needle with jet kit. What did they recommend for your jetting? Sorry man i have no pics but im running mine with the open end cap for this second!::scary:

Here my CT pipe I just sold... Loved that thing. Also had a cool chrome cap to run for open use instead of the disk for spark arrestor. The only reason I got rid of it is that I wanted to get a full system. I ran a 165 and than switched to a 163 with my aluminum open airbox and K&N.... That thing runs great and sounds even meaner......

where did u guys get ur slip-ons from?? how much, and i dont like the spark aresster eiter i want an open end cap where u get one of those from?

You didn't have to sell the slip on to get a full system. I have the Ct full race system exhaust which comes with complete headers too! I haven't been able to install it yet because I have been patiently waiting for FDO to send my new 493 motor. Its suppose to ship Monday! I am really anxious to see how this engine runs on alcohol.

Good luck with your new pipe. I know someone with one. It is a lot louder than my procircuit t-4. But it sounds awesome. He has a 160 mj and the needle they sent with the pipe. I am not sure what setting.

Haering about how good they sound and the power delivery is making me so anxious to get mine on that I can't wait!:) It sound like CT was a good choice then, cool.:cool: Any helpful installation tips to make it easier or to prevent leaks?

The full race with headers is made differently than the slip on. You can not just put a full race CT header with a CT slip on and expect the same gains as if you run the entire race system. The silencers are different...

If i got the slipon i would want to run it open. Does it come with the end cap or do u have to buy it sepretly??? Thanks

Mine came with the open cap, purchased the spark arrestor after. It's hard to believe but you'll get more power with the disc's on than you do with the open cap. Even CT will tell you this.

As far as I know, I think the slip ons only come with the disk set up as of now. It listed mine as slip on w/ spark arrestor and jet kit. Maybe full systems get the open end cap. :confused2

You can get the open cap pipe on request I believe. It is about 40.00 cheaper. I had to buy the arrestor after for another 50.00 since I started getting hasseled at a few riding spots for not have a SA...... After a few times of getting turned down on entrance to a few places I got the arrestor...

Do they require you to have one to ride at the dunes? Why is that? What would catch on fire?:confused2 Just curious.

Sounds like the same kit as mine. What setup and jetting did you use?

Finally got my pipe and jet kit in today. Pipe looks real nice.

Nothing fance about jet kit packaging. Kit comes with 1 titanium needle and 4 main jets: 160,165,168, and 170 in a plastic bag.

No instructions were included, unless they hid them in all the newspaper packing.

Still need time to put it all together including buying a new gasket for the head pipe to slip-on connection and of course the air box mods.
