something is wrong

My brothers 97 blaster messed up yesterday. It is not idleing at all. It will run as long as you give it gas. Even then there is a pinging sound that is comming from the head. Any idea as to what may be wrong.

did you check the idle screw and the jetting?

oh and i forgot to mention that it's a blaster...that might be a problem right there:D
haha, j/p. they are cool quads for beginners :D

check the idle and the spark plug. Also what octane gas are you running in it? You might have a little case of spark knock.
