Yamaha VS Honda

who really cares, i like both.....do you see bike forums yelling at each other about there brands......no.......it doesn't matter what quad is what....i just love the sport!!!!!!

just my opinion for the yamaha bashers on here.............


the other site on the other hand, we'll....don't get me started.....
i like this site for the people and the respect for the sport!

You know.. it shouldnt matter.. as long as you have fun rippen up the track.. ppl bash on me cuz I have a Cannondale all the time, but I just love the sport like everyone else. Im a Honda fan I admit b/c I have always had one until my Dale... but who cares if the quad has a Briggs and Stratton in it.. as long as u have fun is all that matters. :p :p

yammy sucks and could screw up a wet dream... they've never built one fully good bike... they either have the engine and no frame... or the frame and no motor:o

That new Yami is HOT:eek2:. I've always ridden Honda, but if I was in the market for a new bike today. That Yamaha has it going on... The only bike that is that nice off the production line is the Dale, and the future of those is uncertain, so I'd deffinately get on that new Yami.

i got nuthin against yamaha.. i had owned suzuki, yamaha, kawasaki & honda.. personally i'd buy anything if its looked after and taken care of..

I agree 100%. Were lucky to EVEN have company's like Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki ect in this sport.

Honda has boned me for the last time! I am so tired of the Honda line comming out with nothing new! I am giving one last chance to come out with a new quad this year or I am jumping boat! This new Yamaha yfz 450 just dropped the value of all Honda sport quads including the imfamous 250r! You won't be able to sell a 400ex for 3000.00 now that Yamaha has dropped the YFZ bomb!

The new Yamaha has me very impressed !

I love hondas, and i will always like hondas, but while honda is busy making new jet ski with turbo 1000 (or something like that) motors and other vehicles, yamaha is doing a good job in the quad market. First the warrior and then the banshee, raptor, and now yfz450. I personally think its better to come out with a new inovative quad that totally sucks (yamaha) than not make anything at all since what now? 5, 6 years ago... Just my opinion, but i have nothing against any of the quad makers

suuure man. You also have a cr250 engine in a 400? a gas gas 300, a cannondale, a 400, a cr100 engine bored to a 94. I just cant say i belive you. No flame intended but kinda sounds like your full of it.

this is the way i see it... the ppl that really want a new yfz 450 but cant afford it at all and there parents wouldent let them get a new quad decide they have to bash it and yamaha

There isn't as much bashing with bikes because most bikes are all in the same ballpark as eachother , they have 85s, 125s, 250s, 450s.... All the bikes in these diffrent classes offered by diffrent manufacturers are very similar and none have any significant diffrences in handling (Atleast that not that big that it can't be changed for minimal $$) or power.

Where as quads , we have 400cc quads going up against 660cc quads, that weigh more , are either larger , smaller, have way more or less power than each other.
Like trying to compare a cannondale to a 400ex is like comparing a 80 to a 250 in dirtbikes...
There is too much variation between high permormance quads to be comparing them to each other.
The only good thing about quads when compared to dirtbikes is quads do not get significant every year so older quads hold their value much more than dirtbikes do. (until a better quad comes out..)

I really dont want to make any enemies here but i dont think its unfair saying that im lying about the quads i have. I put my life into my quads. My job is about quads. You can bore an 85 to 100, you can get mounts to put a 400ex in an arens chassis. My dad was a lawyer and me being an only child with no money got many of his insurance benefits. My life is all about quads and thats where a lot of my money goes because it is something that I enjoy. I have been riding since suzuki made the first quad. And i promise you that all my quads that i have are for real. Just to clear things up:)

mxracer75, while I don't totally not beleive ou with what your saying. I am wondering how you got an FMF SST pipe that fits a dirtbike, to fit on you quad conversion. How do you make custom plastics? There were only a few gas gas's sent out into the USA, two of them were in dirtwheels, where'd you get your's, i want one:rolleyes: AHHH, to be a kid again.

I have never had a problem here. I've had 250 quadracer, a banshee, 2 400ex's and now a z. I guess it don't matter what you ride just as long as you are riding:)
