cutting bars

hey. i have renthal trx bend bars on my quad. i like them alot except they are too wide. i was thinking of cutting an inch or so off or each side. has anyone cut their bars before. if so what did you use. i was thinkin of just using a pipe cutter

I've heard of people doing this before with 250ex's. I don't see where it would hurt anything. A pipe cutter would be fine.

make sure you got room for all the controls

thats what I use to do on my yz80. It worked pretty good just make sure you leave enough room for all your levers and everything.

I run the ATV race bend with a little over 1/2" taken off each side with a hack saw. I'd recommend taking off less than you think at first and trying it out. You can always go back and hack a bit more off.

make sure you sand it smooth on the cut edge so you don't vut your hands and grips up
