Do a search on the subject, this question has been asked many times.

I asked this question a long time ago, and I'm pretty sure the answer was no. The bearing carriers are different. I think a 350x axle will fit on a 250x, and be a little wider.

250x and 300ex are interchangeable
250r and 400 ex are interchangeable
carriers are different width
