300ex motor

is there a trick to getting the motor ou tof the 300ex frame. do i need to remove my skidplate or do i hav to tak eof part of the head any help woul be great

i've done this many of times now so heres 2 options..1. you can take off just the head and it will come off real easy by turning it side ways..2. you can just take off the valve cover and then get mess with it for awhile until you work it out..i always use a couple of big screw drivers and a crobar until i work it out

you can take it out with out taking anything off!!! i've done it a million times it seems. just tilt the jug forward and at the same time turn it. you'll have to work with it a little but it'll come right out and put it back in the same way

yes ......no disassembly is required to take the motor out of the frame on the 300ex.
