Yamaha is a company with lots of money and lots of lawyers. It's just not worth the headache just to post a pic of their new sport quad early. As soon as that pic went up we'd have everyone from all over the internet coming here and taking a look at it and copying it everywhere they could. All it would take is a phone call to Ben and this site could be shut down at least until Yamaha releases it themselves. Not only that but it's very easy to trace who posted the pic via IP address and if they ask Ben for that information he legally has no choice but to give it up. I don't want a corporate lawyer bugging me just because I posted a pic. You'll all see it in 30-some hours. Go look in the new Yamaha thread in the Non-Honda Forum. I gave a pretty decent description of it in there.

Honda has to step up anyway..... while Polaris Suzuki and Kawasaki are comin out with new sport quads, they are passin Honda off.... they better come out with somethin new or else everywhere you look there will be a Z, KFX, or a Predator <--- thats whats happenin around here, almost everyone rides a non-honda quad/dirtbike conversion.

But Il still never give up my Honda for somehtin thats gonna have tranny problems.

Those pics on yamaha's web site were intentionally placed there so that the information would be leaked.

I'm willing to bet there are a group of computer geeks that work at yamaha's headquarters getting a kick out of this.

EXACTLY. I know on VWVORTEX members that live in Germany would sneak around VW plants get get spy photos and post them on the website... you know what happened...nothing. This is a common practice all over the 'net for everything. Yamaha has to be loving this free advertising they are getting... on a competitors site with thousands apon thousands of die hard Honda fans that just might convert... :rolleyes:

Im switching, this thing looks like a Z with a rapter combined.!! they did their homework, wont be tranny probs with this thing, frames are lookin strong to.. I just wnder how much they detuned this 450.... im guessing 30-35 hp stock.. :scary:
