View Full Version : Honda says # YTX12A-BS won't fit.!.

Pappy and Oynot's post favor the Yousa ytx12a-bs. More reserve starting power, 70 additional amps...I am into that and ready to buy today.

The local Honda shop says battery dimensions are larger and it won't fit...are they smoking muratic or what?

I think it might be taller but will fit in the battery bracket...

them numnuts are more then likely confusing the yt12 abs with the ytx12bs which wont fit:p typical counter guys

hey pappy off hand do you know the actually height of the stock battery exactly, including post and all, i need that but the battery is at home and i'm at work, thanks:confused2

pappy, i know your the great battery god and all and i would never want to question your authority, but................. are you sure that the stock battery is 8" long i think it's too long cause if you turn it long ways in between the subframe rails it won't fit cause there is only 7 7/8" in between the rails and i gotta fit that plus a battery and i know it's possible :confused:

The ytz14s is the same size as the stocker.

Well in mm Kenny posted 150mm so thats just under 6" but I couldnt tell ya which is correct right now.

Yes, kenny just mistyped as he stated...the battery is same width as the stocker...the differences that get confusing are the values which affect the height.

Kenny, I think that is the same battery used in latter GSXR750's right???? And it is the YT-12-A-BS? :confused:

well guess what the yt-12a-bs fits perfect.........you cant bull**** a bull****ter:D i just received one from pappy a couple months ago and it works perfect,starts it alot better

yup...the honda dealership didn't have it in stock...thats when i went to suzuki dealer and things got confusing...now were back on track....it's that little x that screwed things up...
