but now look at it with the gas tank

gas tank plastic :grr:

it would have been much worse but i took it off after one ride

you think a company who is selling a product would atleast try it out first before they sold them in large quantities

now i'm trying to trade for a +1 and its taking forever

Allot of aftermarket stock length stems do that, is what I was told. That is why almost every person I asked, before I got mine, told me to get a +1 and it is working great.

My +1 anitvibe still hits the gas tank cover so don't be surprised if it still happens when you get a +1....:ermm: Just not as bad as the stock length...

I could see that. Mine is a +1 and it doesn't hit but it pretty close.

I got a Arens and it's just a bit taller then stock so it won't hit the tank...

Back to the drawing board....:D How about the Arens stem, Dave400, are you happy with "Fit & finish" of your Arens..?

bmw....muff ordered a stock length stem...i agree it shouldnt rub but unless the extra clearance is designed into the stem it will rub on some quads....its not just a lsr or burgard problem. order a +1 if choosing an anti vibe to play it safe.

i just did over 15 stems....houser...lsr...burgards....arens and a wierd lookin one that i have no idea who made it. they all looked like they were well put together and id love to know why they charge the money they do for the higher end stems...i realize nothing is cheap but come on....some are over $300:ermm:

Mike I like the Arens stem a lot. It looks very nice, is well built, and it does not hit the gas tank. John said it's just a bit taller then stock so it won't have any clearance problems. The color is also very trick. I have rode some with it on, and it does seem to help with the vibrations...

on my burgards i ordered a +1 high and +1 forward or somthing like that and did not have any problem with it at all, however the burguards stems bend like butter on a hot day, but i have only had this and a stock one so i dont know how other companies compare.

mine is a +1 +1 also. no clearance issues.

BUT mine is harder to turn than stock and my buds LSR stock length.

I think the +1 forward offsets the pivot of the bars which gives less leverage causing increased sterring effort.

anyone with a+1 forward notice this?

i have yet to bend it though, although it flexes like crazy. i fear i am gonna snap it?

Dave is yours an Anti-vibe stem????

I think any antivibe stem from any company is gonna hit the gas tank. it's not a defect with the stems..your puting a product on the quad that was not designed by HONDA to go on there. suck it up and ride....

Yep mine's an Anti-Vibe. There is a nut and bolt at the bottom, and it does not hit the gas tank.
