Metal in Oil

After arguing with Honda, I got a brand new motor. Is it normal to have a small amount of metal flake (visible to the naked eye) in the oil after the initial break in oil change?

if its very small yes. but if you got like huge chunks in there thats never a good thing. after i changed my oil and filter after break in it had little specks in it too..i'm sure its normal. :macho

yeah, it will look kind of like a dust or Very small metallic color.. but if theres decent sized flakes that is not very good at all. when i replaced gears and such, it took about 2 oil changes to stop noticing any in there. 1st oil change was right after firing it up for about 10-20 mins. then i changed it after a good deal of heat cycles and running the tranny through the gears.
