starting 4 first time in 2yrs, few questions?

well just what the title says this a 400ex that has been parked for over 2 yrs not touched. we are charging the battery tonight and gonna give it a try tommrow. so what shouldwe do?? thanks

Check the gas, Make sure it is still good. It will probably need new gas and a carb cleaning. Let us know if you have any problems.

yeah i would drain all the gas out and fill it up with some new gas..then give the carb a good cleaning..check the air filter and spark plug..then try starting that bad boy up

i'd change the oil, and filter too..

....was it kept inside?...no?....might wanna grease it up again.
but deffinatly drain the gas and clean the carb before you even try starting it....it'll turn to gell in your carb...suck that in, adn you'll have probs from now on.

well all the gas was drained before it was stored, so we added new oil and gas and it took about 12 pushes to get warmed up and it started and even idled fine!! i love hondas!

the guy bought it in 2000 and rode 3 times, on his third he wrecked broke his back and almost died!
so hey 1 mans loss is anothers treasure i guess
