i was tightening my shifter today and i broke off the bolt in it. i tried to drill it out, but i cnat get the right angle on it. im afriad im gonna screw up the shifter if i drill it. how the **** do i get it out of there?:cuss:

You might need to get what is called an [EZ-out]????:(

i dont think thats gonna help. the only thing in the way of the drill is the chain gaurd. so im gonna yank that off after school today and see what i can do:macho

Go to your local rental place and rent a 90 degree, or right angle drill. It is shaped like an L and you dont have to have hardly any room to work with. You should be able to get it in there.

MX bubs is right find a right angle drill , some of the pneumatic ones are a litttle smaller if you have clearance issues. You may have to use a short drill bit. Also use a bit that's smaller than the bolt dia.; chances are once you start drilling you will screw the bolt out the bottom without damaging the threads. :cool:

wreck the shift lever and get a billit one.

I used a hard chisel and broke the bolt, after i spread teh peices apart, then got a new shifter.
