Heys guys I am new to this forum .. I sold my trusty old 250r and bought a shiny new 400 EX . I really like it except for the fact that the fender is a real pain to get on and off with the battery hanging off the frame.
I remember seeing a trick airbox that held the battery but i don't remember who made it.
Anybody got any recommendations for me on types of airboxes.:D

Anybody got any recommendations for me on types ..

ya i got one u shouldve never sold ur 250r u shouldve just restored it..

mostly becuase for what u payed for the 400 u couldve had a complete race setup 250r witch wouldve been fully restored for the same price u payed for the 400 ex..

besides the power of a 250r Running right would promblembly beat or at least be tied in a 200 yard race with a stock 400 ex.
250r s are very powerfull bike for there motor size.i herd they can beat a stock banshee if not ,be side by side with one..(what i herd anyway from people that done tests)

:)

My R was restored , it had twice the horsepower the EX does thats not the question I asked. I been riding since they sold new off the showroom floor and mine would eat banshees alive unless they had been worked over good. I don't need that level speed anymore junior.
To KawSam ... that looks like a nice box , the fenders goes on and off smoother don't it ? And it looks like a cleaner looking set up also. Just covering the battery with rubber seemed kinda lame for Honda to me.

Thanks Mopar 400 ... So whats the 400 in anyway? I used to have a 72 Satellite Sebring with a slapstick but it was a small block.
I would like to have a 71/ 72 Road Runner or Charger R/t. I liked those body styles the best, But any old Mopar is cool .

Night Prowler,
I have one of the boxes from KAWSAM62, when you put the frenders on it leaves 3/8in gap under the seat so it still flows all the air you need, keeps dirt and water out too :D Its made to draw air from the rear of the box so you not getting all the hot air off the engine like the clear snorkle on the stocker.

Thanks Guys ... KawSams box looks nice but it also looks like the air filter is really in there tight ? I wanna be able to run a lid also.
Does it have a lid Sam ?
