fender shave?

whats with the fender shave all the quads have? do they go faster? is it lighter? where can i get mine shaved or do i do it myself?

makes them more aerodynamic and also allows you to see where your wheels are..i have mine shaved and i luv it..yeah do it yourself..its easy..i did mine with a jigsaw and then sand the edges until they were smooth

Just use some tape to mark where you want yours shaved and use a jig saw or even a grinder, and sand the edges to make them smooth.

Also, in a lot of races, mud will build up under the fenders and that add's a lot of weight. Sometimes so much will build up that the fenders could break. Also, in racing, it will help a lot to be able to see your front tires every now and then.

take your quad to a barbershop and tell them to give you the shave treatment! tell'em zzbudzz send ya!;) just cutt'em and don't worry about messing up it's easy!

i got a 400ex and i ride in mostly trails with rocks and mud and also in the sand should i shaved my fenders?

Where your fender first starts to go at an incline, shave them there, it will leave about 3-6 inches of front fender left.... thats where I was gonna do mine.

oh man i screwed it on 1 side it looks good from 1 angle lol....oh well ill just buy plastics......i will post pics of the good and ugly side of my bike when my scanner if fixed..haha o my god......i cut 1 side good cause thats the way the pic of the bike was facing when i was cutting n when i finished i looked at it from the frone ant i cut the left side hidious lol

Nice goin ace..... you shoulda took your time when you did it and made sure that when you cut it, it would be good all around..... like take a sharp knife and make a very thin line where you would like to cut and if it looks good, hack away.

HAHA, you couldnt have screw up that bad...... or so I think.

Try to blend the rest of the plastic into the bad part, wont look as @ss ugly.

I think that the orange would look better, and have Pappy powercoat your frame, a-arms, or swingarm to make it look really nice.
