I might be looking for a drop in style cam and these look like the only two out there. Which is better with a 440 and what are their prices???

well im not sure about the exact prices on the xr cam but from what i understand the HRC more aggressive than the xr. the xr is more bottom to mid range from what i've heard. with a 440 you should have all the bottom end you'll ever need. if you got the extra money the HRC looks like the way to go. i just recently decided on a 440 kit and i'll be ordering a HRC cam with in the next week or so. i can't wait. the kits on backorder for another week. i think the HRC cam is around 270 dollars.

i'm pretty sure the XR cam is a mid/top cam...

the stock cam is for low end power so why would you use a different cam for low end power if your original cam already provides that?

the xr is more aggressive than stock but not as aggressive as a HRC just put it that way

For MX, what CAM does everyone suggest, the HRC, or the XR400? Or something else.

I did have a White Brothers E-Series pipe and silencer, with a White Brothers CDI. I was hanging with a guy that has a full blown 440 kit from Curtis Sparks. He killed me off the line, but half way around the track I caught him.

I now have a Curtis Sparks X-6 pipe and silencer. (Possibly have sold the White Brothers.) I don't really want to do much motor work, but want a little more off the line.

Get the 416 piston and XR cam,,,the HRC cam is like twice the cost of an XR cam and it ain't gonna give ya twice the power so why get it,,,the 416 piston and XRcam is all you'll want,,it's what I have and the power difference is like jumping on a 616ex,,no lie,,for $300 you can't beat it,,you'll run with raptors with this setup...:D even if your running the stock carb..
