WEBCAM vs. HOTCAM

I usually race motocross and Im looking for a most h.p. gain, without spending a lot of $$$ ( at this point in time i'm tight on money ). Im looking into buying a cam for my 400ex. I have been starting to read more and more HOTCAM problems in the past few weeks and I have been looking into other cams such as HRC, WEBCAM, SPARKS, etc. Which can you tell me would be the cheapest cam to drop in with using my stock rockers and valves. What setups are most common with the motocrossers on here?

Out of all of those cams I believe the HRC is the only drop in cam. I have a Hotcam Stage 2 and so far I haven't had any probs. Just make sure you get the updated cam and you shouldn't have any probs.

hey gojk did u change ur springs or ne thing? and where did u feel hp gain a loss?

All that I changed was the piston and cam. I didn't feel any gain on bottom, but no loss either. Also it pulls very hard up top now.

i have an MX 254 webcam and i love it...i could tell the difference in the way my bike shook like a harley or something after it went in

How much was your mx254 webcam and where did you get it? Are you happy with it?

I dropped a Webcam 450/451 grind and its been good so far. When idling, the quad shakes pretty good!!!:D Its hard to tell what the cam did because I bored it out a little and switched fuel ect... I prefer the Web versus anything else. The have a good rep and I haven't heard anything negative about them:D

I had the same cam web 450/451 worked rather well after 2 years my stock rockers were shot.. (I am sure they were shot way before that just did not tear it down till then) I have the hotcam now and it pulls harder than the web..

hey silverfox, what do YOU recommend cam wise the WEBCAM or HOTCAM....I want something that will pull hard through all the gears but still using the stock rockers and valve springs.:confused:
