2001 trx400ex

i peeled all my plastic off so i could drop in my stage 1 but i got to the gas tank and the 2 bolts that hold it on in the front seem to be be stripped and i went to drill it out but it was taking a long time. is there a faster way to get them out without blowing anything up. I dont care what the threads look like after the bolt is out.
