My neighbor has a 400 and he wants to get into some flattrack racing. Its pretty popular around here. A lot of people who race told him to put blaster shocks on his ex. I just cant see that working too well. I have an adjustable lowering strut for the back but what is the best for the front? Thanks, Anthony

theres 3 ways that i have heard of...

1. durablue lowering kit...
2. shocks with ssd or zps
3. 300ex shocks or blaster shocks...

me i'd do the lowering kit with a set of zps or ssd shocks

Nope, that swingarm would be wayy to heavy. The best way to do it is to get a set of TT or Flat Track shocks from Works or anyone that will make you a 12-14 inch shock. Make sure it is valved for TT, and for the 400ex. Get some +2 A-Arms, 4+1 wheels if you would like, thats what I run, and almost totally eliminates scrub. You might have to have a machine shop make a new center for your lowering link, mine wasnt long enough when I got my -2 swingarm. If you are going to buy a swingarm just for Flat Track, buy this one from RPM.
