I have the A/C propegs with heel kicks. I am not impressed with the feel at all. They look great and are lightweight. Unfortunately, I am 6' 6" so I like my pegs lower and further back than stock. The A/C propegs sit about 1/4" higher than stock.

You can check these out. They are the old DG style. Although the footpegs are heavier and you get no heel kicks, the handling is much better. I only wish I could get these made out of titanium and aluminum.

Do a search on nerf bars and you will find plenty of feedback on the pro and cons.

By the way, I am not endorsing any vendor - this is the only place I could find to buy these in the last month of searching.

You can get them with black or red webbing. You can also pick up an extra set of webbing for $25 if you ask. I highly recommend it since you know the webbing is going to wear out first. Save yourself the hassle of trying to find it later.

Hey Not - those are the ones my buddy has, I think I may have been the one that told you about them on here? Because you said you wanted some with the pegs lower. Anyway - how long did it take for you to get them from the company? Did you order over the net or call them up? Did you get the black nets? My buddy has the red. He got his off of ebay, but the guys doesn't have them anymore. My buddy actually ended up hacking off the back bar because he said his heel was getting hung on it when he jumped. One other cool thing about those that he told me is that you can run just the pegs without the bars...

I got them with red nets but black is definitely available. I called them since I also wanted extra nets. I haven't received them yet but I know they had them in stock. He said no more than a week.

I have a set of these already and never had a problem with my boots getting caught. I wear a size 12. My girlfriend's son rides it a lot too and he is a size 11 and never complained either.

All I can say to those who love the stock peg location is you have no idea how much better these feel in terms of overall balance, ability to powerslide, and added ability to get the front end up in the air in 3rd and 4th gears on an almost stock 400ex (open air box and jet kit only - no aftermarket exhaust).

remlapr - you probably did help me track these down. I would have to go and look back on the original post. Once I had the brand name, I had to wade through quite a few posts to find the company where I could get them. Searches on Google, Yahoo, etc. failed to produce any thing. Thanks again. Know where I can get these in titanium? :) I am telling you I could design the perfect set of nerfs. Attach to the engine mount like A/C, all aluminum including the foot pegs except the peg teeth would be Titanium and be replaceable, built in heel guards, lowered 1" and back 1" from factory. One day, some company will meet this demand.

Reg AC nerfs all the way, they have already deflected an annoying yz125 at the track and I bounced them off several trees yet they still look like new:devil:

I wish DG made nerfs with built-in heel kicks.
