This is a kinda weird question but I dont see the point of cuttin of the front fenders. Is it just cosmetic or does it make it more aerodynamic? Please.....someone fill me in on this.

I do it to see the ground to line up rutts or ahead of me when i'm riding a wheelie. Also if your way up in the air front end high you can see where the ground is and where its gonna land. I can't stand riding without cut fenders.

They can also catch air and pull you front end up a lil in the air.
But basically, they're not needed in MX and TT

I see.....So if I cut mine...it would be useless. I ride in mud so that would suck. But I would get muddier......Hmmmm. I like Mud. :)

also another thing with the fenders... is sometimes the supports that hold the fenders tight, tend to fall off and when you jump and land.. your fenders are bouncin and rattlin like crazy.. sort of an annoyance to me..... besides... the fenders cut off look way better JMO tho

Well I don't know about anyone else, but.... I cut mine because when I'm racing MX and doing big jumps I don't want the front fenders catching wind. If you think about it they are just like wings! Trust me any jump over about 30 ft you don't want those front fenders catching the wind!:eek2:

they will also catch alot mud sometims and weight your quad down, making your shock softer, put more weight to the front losing traction in the rear, making the quad un ballance in the air, more top heavy, effect handling, and make it harder for the brakes in the front to stop because of the added weight and traction.

A can of Pam solves that....spray it on and go. Keeps mud from sticking.

So while you're racing in a muddy race and your fenders get caked with mud... you're gonna whip out a can of PAM and spray it on while in midair?????? :huh :huh :huh
Cuz I've seen our thick Gumbo-Dirt Mud get on ANYTHING!!!!! a little bit of PAM aint gonna help even if u marinate those fenders in it

I think he means he puts the PAM on before he gets muddy so when the mud hits it doesnt stick.

I ride woods and small jumps so I dont see a reason for me to cut them. Maybe if I buy new OEM fenders ill cut my old ones so I can see how it is.

Ds fenders dont catch much of any air and they work 10x better then the raptors the 400's or anything for that matter cept most 4x4's
