I know the swingarm is different on the 86-87 than the 88-89, is there any difference in the linkage?

I have an 86 250r with a rear lowering kit, which is just a longer arm in the linkage. I'm upgrading to PEP ZPS, so I obviously don't need the rear lowering kit, so I want to go back to the stock linkage (or aftermarket)

Do I need to look for an 86 linkage, or can I use a linkage from any year 250r?

The '86 (and maybe '87) linkage is longer, and will lower the bike compared to an 88-89 linkage.

AT LAST, a response...

I'm pretty sure I want to return to the stock geometry if I'm going to go with the ZPS setup.

Maybe I'll post my lowering kit in the FOR SALE forum if anybody wants to trade for a stock 86 linkage.

if you use the 88-89 it will ride WAY to high if the frame is built for the 86 you have to use the 86 87 is the same also if its an 88-89 frame you have to use that linkage !!
