Hate to break your heart, but that's not too uncommon with works shocks! Although normally, it is the top springs that fatigue first, the bottoms usually aren't much better.

those don't look old enough to have snapped from fatigue already :huh

Well I know for a fact that knighttimes shocks have less than 40 hours on them...he rides like a sheela and never jumps. those shocks have not seen any abuse what so ever. I'd look into getting the spring replaced under warranty because that is a defect in the spring...

I abused the total chit outa mine and they never gave me any trouble...

Since I bought my Works Tripples used I have broke a upper spring and now the lower springs are bowed and had to replace them. The upper spring broke due to the plastic crossover was warped out and cased the spring to rub the body of the shock wearing it out till it broke. The larger blue springs and bowed and no one at works could give me and answer to why that would have happened. (the shocks are about 3 to 4 years old so it could have been age) Replacement cost on the upper springs was about 15 to 20 a spring and the lower ones are 32 each.

i received the new spring yesterday. The cost was about $40 with shipping because the warranty only lasts 90 days. I'm gonna put it on soon along with a kick-*** super bling subframe. Pics to follow soon. :eek2:

I'm a big boy at 270lb. on my 400 w/ Works Steelers, and they seem to be very durable. Unfortunatly bad springs do and will happen.:ermm:
