Accept no substitutes. Ross pistons are the lightest and have awesome quality. Call them direct and they'll ship it to your door for $125.00. www.rosspistons.com

Raptoraz, Are you pleased with your cam and piston for the 400? Is you cam holding up? Did you use stock thickness gaskets, or did you use xr400 gaskets? I'm thinkin about a ross 10.8:1 piston, and a hotcam stage 2 and use xr400 gaskets. Should I use a thinner base gasket also, or just thinner head gasket? All your help is appreciated.

I need a new top end on my 400ex and was thinking the same thing 416cc with ross or je 10.8 to 1 with stage 2 hot cam our even a megacycles. anyways what gaskets to run and i also plan on getting a 39 fcr , is the fcr worth the extra money?

I actually sold my bike to a friend. But it's holding up perfectly. I used stock Honda 400EX gaskets. I was willing to trade a little compression to ensure that it would run fine on 92 octane pump fuel.
