removing cases

i was going to install a 8 plate clutch assembly but for some reason i cant remove the case...how hard should it be to take off?
i drained the oil, removed the case bolts (12 i think but not sure) i just cant get it off. i have never taken them off so any tricks would be appreciated.

If you have all the bolts removed then you tap the case until it is loose, use a rubber mallet or something, then when pulling the case off turn the clutch arm counter clockwise i think so that the pin inside isnt hooked in their.
