Will a 400ex rear master cylinder bolt on to a 250r frame? My 250r cylinder is beyond rebuildable (aluminum cracked, and major corrosion)

thanks

Ive heard of people using a 250r caliper on a 400ex, but im not sure about the other way around. I think you need an expensive adaptor. Just look on ebay for a used caliper

You can make one fit, but it will not just bolt on. I used a 400EX brake pedal and master cylinder both, just to make it tuck in closer to the frame. I had to change a mount on the frame and modify the brake pedal. Also, the 250R reservoir uses a different size hose than the EX master cylinder. It took some rigging, but I made it work pretty well. I'll try to get a pic soon if you want. For most people, though, it's easier to just buy a 250R master cylinder.
