Raptor rear shock on 400ex

Can I put a raptor rear shock on my 400ex if I switch the springs? I've heard you can on a 300ex if you had the right year raptor shock and was wondering if it would work on the 400. Thanks

The raptor shock works on the 300ex because it is the same length, it is quite a bit shorter than the 400ex shock.
