kinda a dumb question

I was just wondering how much oil i am supposed to put in my 400ex when it is bone dry? in the past i fill the tank then run it for a little bit then top it off so the oil will get in the motor? just a question.

If you don't know the capacity then you probably shouldn't be changing the oil yourself. Take it to a professional... The oil capacity on the 400 is 2.3quarts.
