OK, let's see if I can explain this. I have the triple rates and there are plastic spacers that seperate the springs and then there's metal spacers that keep the spring from totally collapsing upon bottoming(looks like steel pipe cut at about an 8th of an inch thick). There's one of these spacers for each spring. The problem is that they jingle around on the shock while riding and it sounds real cheap. Devol Engineering says it's normal, is it normal? Seems like they could figure out something better. I hope you guys can understand what I'm trying to say. Sorry no pic, but the shocks are off getting overhauled. Thanks:)

my tcs make more noise than my pep's, maybe cause they are older?

when you push on the bumper real hard on mine they kinda squeek and those "cross over" rings are loose on mine too, its just like that so you can take out or put in more.

Elkas don't make noise because the cross overs are plastic.

they were aluminium but people whined and they went to plastic. They saw no benifit of aluminium anyway. plastic is cheaper easier to mold, doesn't ratle or wear away the shock body. I think plastic is better too. The first impression is always that plastic is the cheap way out. but in some curcomstances its a better option. By the way. I got my ELka's back. They work awsome.:macho

i think you should deal with a little rattle rather than having your crossovers break and crack springs :ermm: the noise is normal
