sold, my truck so this is how i have to do it now. Would you make fun of me if i parked by you at the trail head?

Give me a break, i only paid $300 for the car and its in great shape.

On the plus side, the money im saving on gas and insurance is going into a stroker motor.:D

I almost bought a trans am but i fell into this car for such a good deal. this little 4 banger will barely pull the trailer with the A/C on.

I now a guy that pulls his 400 around with his old F0cked up convertible 88 mustage. It beat to hell - his quad is probably worth more, but I guess it beats riding in circles in the backyard!

I payed more for the little trailer than i did the car!

I know a kid that used to put his yz125 in the back of his volvo wagon. The front end would be hanging out of the back of the car. It was a really funny site. I just wish I had a picture of it:(

I passed some one going to the coast. They had their quad on the back of the car. As in, the back tires were on the trunk, and the fronts on the roof towards the front window. There were knowticable dents but it was a beater car. Funniest thing seeing it driving down the road.

Same here - Integra (black GSR) towing my 400EX for over a year! Back country roads, mud, rocks, everything - never got stuck - never broke down!

This is not intended at anyone here :D But I hate people who have a car and trailor and try and pull like a load of sand or something of that sort, it seems so dumb! Dont you think? Car just are ment to take that weight...

Pulling the quad and stuff like that isn't bad, but some people are just crazy :D

Black GS-R, Hmmm must be a 94 or newer. At least yours has the power, My 87 is bone stock with 215,000 on the original motor. new it only had about 115HP I think yours came with 165HP.
I love my integras(I own 2), Best part is, parts dont cost me anything:D

Mines an 87 too, bone stock. Only has 105,000 miles. Wont keep time though. Got to get the timing light out about once a month.

It really isnt a bad little car if the A/C isnt on, kinda fun to drive cause its so small.

Dude, at least you have a vehicle to tow that quad of yours around. Some of these folks around here either spent all of their money on their quads and can't even afford a car or aren't even old enough to drive. I'd say you're doing pretty damm good! Props to another Tucsonan on the board. I thought I was the only one......

OMFG LMAO I didnt see the pic of your car when I first replied, it wouldnt show up at first. My car is white too. You only paid $300?
wow, so you say it wont keep time huh? is yout distributor tight? does your check engine light come on? if so what is the code. I can help you fix it, might even have parts for it at work. ( I'm a tech at an Acura dealer)

I bought mine for $500 with a broken timing belt and rebuilt it. I've been driving it for three years and including four new tires I'm into it about $1400, and ive put nearly 80,000 on it.

yeah, i only paid $300 bucks for it, had to replace the fuel pump and clean the radiator fins. Its actually a really clean car, i am the second owner, the neighbor i bought it from bought it new in 87.

Got a question though...What is the normal position of the temp gauge. Mine stays between halfway and about 5/8. Just seems like it running warm but maybe not. really seems to run crappy when it gets warm. I just set the timing and no change in the temp its running, so is that normal.

Im hoping i got my timing problem fixed, im not sure what to call it but the part of the distributer that has the vacum lines going into it had a crack in it so i jb welded it up. Yes its ghetto, but i dont care.

No Normal would be just below the icon on the gauge. your t-stat prolly isnt opening all the way, or you have a air-pocket in the cooling system. Does the idle surge in the morning?

This is my second thermostat and the car runs smooth. Im thinking the radiator may be partially plugged, it had stop leak in it, i flushed it about 10 times, but the inside looks pretty rusty still.
The fans are turning on also, so they are working. Does you gauge stay still pretty much, or does it move a little bit like when you sit in traffic?

Woodsrider
05-29-2003, 03:41 AM
Yes mine will climb if I sit in traffic. Up to about... just over half. If you had stop leak in the radiator I would say that is probably your problem. I just got to work, on the way in my gauge sits right on the top of the water in the icon.
If the fast idle surges in the morning, like I asked then you may have air in the system. This would also cause the car to run like poor, and get hot.
