400ex Jetting Question (152 main)

i am in the process of jeting my carb and i moved the needle to the 4th notch am putting in a 40 pilot jet with the screw about 2 3/4 turns out and going to a 152 pilot jet.. I have stock air filter with holes in airbox and pro circuit t-4 silencer.. Is a 152 big enuff just right or too small??

you mean a 152 main jet wright????if so that should be good, with your mods a couple sizes bigger [than stock] with the main should be fine...

Yep.. I mean 152 main.... (i type like old people scr**)....And another question...
With the mods i have do you think it will do ok with the needle on the forth clip??

moving the clip down one position (needle up one) should be just fine for your mods. i believe honda jetted the bike a little lean from the factory due to emissions. i run the needle in the 4th position and i have a factory pipe with no air box lid. doing this cures your bike's misses when it is cold.
