if it is for dune riding i would go for the full blown 465!!

I raced lots of modded 400's up Comp Hill at Dumont. Only one guy could keep up with me, I beat the others by atleast a bike length. I know for sure one was a 440, because we stopped and talked at the top. I'm pretty good size (6'2", 195lb), so weight was not a factor.

get a banshee. you can pick up a beat shee for close to what you'd tie up in the 400 motor, thats my .02

yea buy a bansee and spend your time fixing it instead of riding. lol. id say 465

Bigger is better for the dunes. My 416 is quick on the flats, but it gets overwhelmed on the hills.
