i was wondering how many ft/lbs of torque is recommended for the small bolts on top of the head on the 400ex? i have the print out for the torque specs on the 400ex but there is a few things missing. thanks

tighten the center bolt(the bigger one) to 17 ft lbs.All the smaller ones just tighten like you would you oil filter bolts.Dont try to tourque them or youll strip em.

anyone else know. i'm in the process of tighting my cover up and want to make sure i get it tight so it doesn't fall out later:(

8 ft/lb. Use a torque wrench with in/lb graduation, if you have one. Run them all down until they're lightly seated. Torque in a criss-cross pattern at 45 in/lb, and then a final torque to 90 in/lb +/- 5.
