air box snorkle

Is there any gain by removing the snorkle and running a block off cap like NACS sells or is that a gimmick is worth any power to take it off and run it blkocked off the only thing I can think would be that the air may a little warm by the time it get through the snorkle and it might hurt you there but Im not sure.Any suggestions.

The only time you would remove the snorkle and plug the hole would be if you run without an air-box lid. Then if you were concerned about the restriction the snorkle creates sitting inside the box, you could then romove the snorkle and plug it.

If you block off the snorkle, you need to do some air box mods. With a stock lid, the snorkle is the only way for air to get in.
