I am trying to decide on a quad I finally got some cash but have decided I want something with reverse and something cheap and used until next year when I can get a new quad with cash :eek2:
THis year I gotta get a car or truck to and insurance so I gotta get a cheap used sport quad with reverse in that range there is pretty much only the 300Ex and the Warrior. Which is better and why?

without a doubt, get the 300ex. Much more capable quad all around.

As others have pointed out, I would look for a used 400ex. Reverse is WAY overated and not needed IMO.

Ditto! On my 250x I took the reverse lever off and threw it away. Never used it, just spun around and went! Reverse is WAY overated! JMO:cool:

I dont know about you guys but the trails where i am at in eastern Canada are very tight, very rough and most always fairly muddy there are very few trials that you could spin around on the branches rub up against you when your driving through on some of them, then of course we got slightly better trails, and then we got lots of them ATV highway trails which are would be good enough for cars.
But for the majority of my riding I like the toughy twisty muddy trail and with reverse you can hardly get turned around let alone spinning around.

Anyways I only like 5'3-5'4 and about 110-125 right now so the only quads I will consider that dont have reverse are the BLaster and LT250R because they are so light

go with the 300ex, it has much more potential then a warrior

Anyway, go with a Honda, you can't go wrong. A friend of mine has a 300ex and wanted a Warrior instead, until he noticed how many riders were selling them to get a 300ex. Many more aftermarket parts are made for the 300ex also.

Yeah I think I probably will get a 300EX or a Blaster, If I cant get myself a cheap enough 300Ex I will get a Blaster I can get them for 2000 Canadian or under with lots of mods like pipes, carbs, nerfs tires and rims and all that stuff. I will get myself a modded Blaster or 300EX until I can afford a used Z 400 or maybe just maybe a DS650 Baja (not plain DS650) or.......
a KFX 700. it will be a while before I can afford a 700 though. maybe in like 10-20 years ;)

And if worse comes to worse I can get a early Warrior for in between 1500-2250 Canadian. There is one 300EX I know of in paticular though it is a 93 and had the piss beat out of it then it got all fixed up so it was pretty much perfect but it hasnt been driven in 3 years the guy is in University now and has no intrest in it he just left it sitting at his friends place

maybe if you ride dunes or fire roads or streets
but other than dunes I dont consider any of the above actual riding I get forced into the fireroad riding sometimes because thats what the family like to do they just wanna go like 60 mph in a straight line on something perfectly smooth....:tired: scared one of these days I will fall asleep riding with them:eek2:

ANYWAYS....point is I want a quad with reverse THE END :blah:

cool 300ex

They are both good quads. If you are a pretty big guy get the warrior and if not just get a 300ex.I loved m9ine in a drag race they are about the same. The warrior might have a alittle more on top end.

Hey.. Get the 300ex. They are an all around good quad and in a drag i could beat a warrior but it is really close at the end.;) For trail wise the warrior isnt the best but 300ex can turn tighter corners faster than the warrior and thats just my 2 cents:D ;) Good luck finding a quad;)

If you are thinking about getting a DS you better not get reverse cuz they don't have reverse and you can't get much heaviry than a Ds.

I have one I know. The machine is worth not having reverse I love it.

Definetely 300ex. Cuzin had a warrior nothing but problems after problems. 300exs are prolly most reliable quad out there. and why get an UGLY lookin 350 warrior when you can get a 300. You gotta admit warriors are UGLY!
