That was mine, 12 ga stainless, I still managed to bend it. I put a couple gussets inside now, big rocks bent it. Now if I did one again I would weld a piece of angle iron across inside with the two legs of the angle touching the flat (so the 90 degree point is facing the ground. Mine is still good to go though.

Good luck.:blah:

(if you need autocad or solidworks drawings or .dxfs for plasma-laser cutting let me know, just don't sell 'em  )

Heres how I'd do it now, I would maybe even kick'er up to 10 ga stainless, she'd be really heavy though. I would also drill in a big drain hole in the linkage cutout.
Good luck again.

that is somewhat like what mine looked like. I have a 300 so i ddint have to worry about shock linkage. Mine is just a flat sheet with 90 degree bends that come up then i have 2 inch like flaps that actualy cover the chain and disk then at the end i have peaices that are bent up to help me back out so the back of the skid doesnt ram inot the ground. Ill have some pics prolly tom or thursday its a 2 stage process i designed it then when i get it back im marking the wholes for it and making the braket that goes around that chain and connects to the top of the swing arm. I think it should hold up pretty good my dad is making it out of the heaviest stainless steel he has in his shope about how think inch wise was the stuff you used.
Thanks killed

12ga is .105 thick, if you have it maybe try 11ga .120 thick. Don't run the legs around the brake disk or sprocket out too far or they'll bend easily. Just enough to get past them.

Good luck!
