towards the end of this summer a friend and i plan on having enough cash saved up to be able to buy two 2004 400ex's..... well we are both 17, and we will have cash in hand.... so at a dealership... do we just talk to the guy and then give him the money and walk out with the quads or is there a bunch of crap we have to do, and do we have to be 18..... i mean how complicated is this...? thanks..... also, buying 2 quads at once with cash, what kind of a deal do u think we could get?

If you're waiting till the end of summer you might as well wait untill the new Honda is released which is rumored to be around December. If I were in the market for a new quad i'd go for the Suzuki/Kawasaki or wait for the new Honda. JMO

You shoud get them for less than $5000 each, if buying two of them at the same time. Have your dad or an older adult haggle with the dealer for you to get the best deal. Some salesmen don't take younger guys as serious as older guys. (Wrong but true) :)

$4500 is a little optimistic. Remember the MSRP is 5699. Maybe by the end of summer Honda will be offering their dealers incentives to move remaining 400ex's but I doubt they will be that cheap. I would really look at a used 02-03 for around $4000, that seems a little more realistic....$4500 may be under dealer cost.;)

here is what you do. Cuz'n Gave me this advice.

Go into shop ask if you can take one of them brand new 400exs you got there home and if he says no pull out your sawed off shotgun and then ask him again. He said it usually works fine.

iv got ads at my house from dealers saying that they have brand new 2003 400ex's for 4500 and some are 4600..... but that is beside the point...... out of all this nobody has answered my question...... BEING 17... CAN I walk into a dealership with money and walk out with a quad???????????,........... that is all i want to know........ PLEASE!!!!

Call them and ask about freight and set up, usually around $250-$500 added to the price, especially when the advertised price is really low.... And don't forget about sales tax. I not trying to be an ***** I'm just trying to let you know how it might go :)

You should pass up on the quads and strap yourself on to a dirtbike that will throw you around like you wouldnt believe
befor you just go jumping into a new quad u should look for something used to it will probably have a lil bit of mods and it most likely be cheaper
