for the shocks you need to relocate the top mount up a little bit. search for 250x on ebay and their usually about 20-30 bucks their just a shaped piece of metal.
as far as the axle goes...i would like to know too

The axle wont fit, it would fit if you had a 400ex bearing carrier, but then you need a 400ex swingarm. The front 400ex shocks will fit with a shockmount relocater, they sell them on ebay sometimes.

A 350X axle will work just fine if you can get ahold of one.

as for the front end either use the stockers and relocate the mount like everyone else said... or buy a custom set of shocks like i did, the messurements come out to 14 3/4 inches long and then have them set it up for your quad and make sure to tell them ur using a 400 front end and ur weight
