My stock tires are getting pretty worn out. All of my friends have 4X4 quads and i want a tire that can go through more than the stockers or most of the tires that I can get in stock size. I like the ITP Mud lite tires. Would 22x11x9 tires fit on the stock rims? Since the stock tires are 20x10x9, would I need to change sprockets or would it still have plenty of power? What is a good company that makes good sprockets that arent real expensive?

Or would I be better off going with these http://www.highlifter.com/store/gbgator.html

I can get them in 22x10x9 which I know would fit on the stock rims.

Don't put Gators on your EX - that would be stupid. There are better choices out there for what you are probably wanting in a tire. Check out the sur-traks and all-traks

Ok, but would the 11x9 tires fit on the 10x9 wheels?

Absolutely - I think the majority of aftermarket 9" tires are 11" wide - so that isn't a concern at all..

You'd be ok with the 22x11x9's especially if they're really "lites"
I ran 22x11x9 dirt devils for a while but they were too heavy...and I ran a 14t front sprocket, that's the only thing you might want to consider...

How do you like the Dirt Devils? Where they pretty good in mud for being on a 2wd sport quad? How much power did you lose with the bigger tire?, How much extra top end speed did you gain?

Dirt devils are good but HEAVY. When I changed back to 20's I felt like I gained 10hp back! I don't think I gained any top end because I went to the 14t. As for hook-up, I think the stockers actually do better in some situations, I know in sand and snow they semed to hook up better. In mud the devils were better though..

The Mud Lites are a nice tire and like their name says , they are nice and light , but the tire has had its downfalls since we've received them at the shop . After only a week of riding a customer brought his set back and they had about 200 small slices / crack marks in them . This looks to be a defect in the construction of the tire ( too hard of compound maybe). If your tires dont hold their air on the mudlites check them cuz this is probably the main reason.

i run 22-11-9 dirtdevils on my 300ex and it turns the tires just fine the other day when i was out ridin i got through a place where my buddy got stuck. the only thing i need is to get a performance pipe back on my quad because it makes it accelerate faster with the heavier tires

saw a pair ran at a local hairscamble...50 riders...20 got pulled up the hillclimb...mudlites walked up every time. Good straight line pull. The apparent downfall would be off-camber bite.
