300EX_HMF,..

Before I purchased the Curtis Sparks X6, I had a SeperTrapp IDSII slip on pipe and I had to repack it ~ every season. Pain-in-the-arse it was. One time I had to buy another pipe becuase I couldn't get the core out (rusted), that is when I decided to upgrade to CS X6. If you start noticing alot of fiberglass near your exhaust tip or sound changing alot, then I'd say its about time to repack. Hope this helps.

What will happen if you decide not to repack your exhuast? I have noticed a sound change in my quad but never bothered replacing the glass packing :ermm: .

Ryan,

If you dont repack your exhaust not a whole lot will change except the volume and maybe the backpressure, a little. The change in backpressure will allow more flow and your motor will go more lean. But very little really.

careful Ryan, I don't claim fame. No-one likes a know-it-all. Some ppl here don't appreciate ppl opinions (not to mention names, hehe) about what has been learned over the last 4 years, regarding the 400ex . But I really appreciate the complements you give me, and I'll continue to provide as much assistance I can to anyone that ask me here on this website. I enjoy helping 400EX'ers as much as possible, and I have really started to enjoy this site and the ppl here. Stay kewl!! Thx.
