View Full Version : snapping sound ??

i own an 03 400 ex and when im riding over whoops i am hearing a sanpping sound or clinging in the rear. I have tried different chain adjustments and its still doing it. Could it be the swing arrm guard hitting against the swing arm? My friend is hearing the same sound from his. Any suggestions ?

Mine does that too. It's just the chain slapping the swing arm skid plate.

yeah, sometimes if you have a non o-ring chain it'll have more side to side play and you'll notice it more, and if you have a aftermarket skid plate it might be a little closer...still nothin to worry about tho
