250r ??

I drag race alot and am looking at a 86 250R. I have a 400EX right now and am going to keep it too. They want 3100 for the R is that a good deal I thought it was. It's port and polished and has a FMF pipe on it. I would like to fix the R up to drag race and put a big bore in it and other various things. what do you guys think..thanks

or if you want to drag a 4 stroke look into a ds 650 there monsters when their modded :D

I agree glow. The is the way to go and if you don't like 2 strokes the DS is the way to go.

Also the price of the older ds's have dropped alot you can spend the same 3 grand and get a much more modern machine that required little to no work and check out http://www.rotax.net

Yea i know it really sounds like i am a DS advocate well I have a '02 baja

Also for that same 3 grand I got my banshee with nerfs, FMF pipes, cool head, trinity 2:1 carb, bored .20 over, new plastics and a few other goodies all it needed was a little paint ont he a arms and nerfs along with a little metal cleaner and fine steel wool on the pipes and 'shee turned out sweet.
