'04 Project??

Well I am def gonna build a 4 stroke next year, so what should I do with the R's..??

Option 1. Sell the Laeger and Build a YZF, and keep the stock framed MX R.

Opt. 2. Keep the Laeger and part out and keep what I can from the other R and build a YZF

Opt. 3. Keep the Stock framed MX R and sell the Laeger frame and motor and buy a YZF chassis/motor.

In the end I want to have an MX R and an YZF...just what I have to go about selling to get them is the question.

just sit on everything for a while dude see what happens if it's gonig to be a 04' project then why not just sit it on it till then and see what comes up :)

Yeah I would wait til this Fall and see what Yamaha makes and maybe Honda will release something, MAYBE.

It's definate that yamaha is going to build another 4-stroke with on of the yzf motors (prolly the 450f).
And its just hard to deny that honda will now with all the rumors.
Like I said, ride (and fix) the Laeger R or stock framed R (sell the other) for the rest of the year, and see what happens

nothing honda or yamaha makes is gonan be as fast as a yzf or crf hybrid, if ur racing nationals maybe waiting would be good but if i was ud id build a crf or yzf and sell both of them

This pains me to say it but don't wait for Honda to give you a CRF-powered quad out of the factory for at least another year. Hold off on building a YZF-powered quad for just another week or two until Yamaha announces their new machine, it'll have the engine you're looking for;) It may likely be detuned but what quad engine isn't? That's why we've got the aftermarket:D

jay heres what i say...

throw the practice R motor into ur laeger 250r and stay the hell outta the mud:grr: haha... race that bike untill the HP national is over in mid june... after that yammys new quad will be out... check out what the motor is in it... for all u know laeger and walsh mayb will make a 500 link frame to put that motor in... we don't know what the motor is yet and it mayb a YZ450F not detuned and built stronger to hold a quads beating... just wait 2 weeks...


guyz jay wants to keep a 500 link an narrow front end 250r style quad... jay loves his new R so i know he won't be switchin to a differnt style quad... if it don't say 500 link R on it he won't own it... am i right jay:huh haha

Hey,I have seen the new yamaha 450 quad,it is freakin sweet it is 47"wide stock with adjustable shocks,the frame is candy apple red and the plastic is white with red,Steve beilman was testing one of them in calif. and got a bunch of pics of iy and sent them to different people and yamaha found out because he wasnt supposed to show any one or tell,and he cant go do any more testing for yamaha anymore or go to there big dealer show for the new quad he got freaking busted by yamy

If it don't look like an R or handle like one, I don't want it. Something bout the R just feels right and looks right. I definitely want a CR500 linkage style rear end.

BY THE WAY, MY PAUL TURNER MOTOR IS IN AND I'M RACING TOMORROW.

If I can get some monitary sponsors, and my dad to help me out w/ the YZF, I am going to keep the Laeger R and build a YZF. So I will have 2 race ready quads, 2 and 4 stroke. I can't get the R outa my blood, maybe the motor (not 100% out) but not it's looks and handling.

And I like all the customizing and building up a new race bike. It's so much fun doing it yourself.
