thats a really good job! i like how it looks clean, not all chopped up. why JRD or LSR? have you thought about Walsh? they make a great a-arm, they have a new style comming out soon too. ;)

that is lookin sweet... i liked the red frame better though haha but black is my 2nd fav...

i'd pick jrd over walsh anyday... walsh is gettin a bad rep for breaking and they cost 1200$+ jrd is like 750$...

dunk said he can trash a set of walsh a-arms in 2 weeks:eek:

Yes and No. MY buddy is a machiest and he made me up a kickstart exstension. He took 2 slinded end kick start peices and weled i think a 2" spacer in between them. You can get the slinded ends from any oem place for around 30 bux

Here is my Top Headstay. This is the only spacer on this whole quad. Spacers are a easy way to get out. But i was frusterated so i only put this 1 and only one spacer on the whole bike. To many spacers will =to many cracks as they are weak points

Here is the bottom mounts that i fabed up my self. These were not to bad to make. I got every mount hooked up properly so this motor dont tweak its self all over he!!.

Your doing this project really nice. What color of plastic are you going to run?

dont yz's have a problem with over heating as it is??? why arent u running a bigger radiator,, which radiator is that???

also what kind of oil tank is that,, looks like it fits nicefor that situation

Yes YZ's are know for heating problems. The way that I solved this was i bought a PWR Radiator (denton)they are two row core with 35% more cooling capacity. Also the oil tank is a CFM peroformace made specifically for this conversion which is over sized also

I like your idea for your kicker ext. (copycat):D

Hey, I like the way you did the bottom center mounts, good thinking.

Believe it or not, the headstays catches ALOT of stress. The 2 tabs I welded to the sleeve that drop down and catch the motor actually broke off, so I refabbed a heavier duty one. That right there tells me the head of the motor is doing some moving around.

Tell me what you did for your pivot bolt, and what you did to offset the front motor tab mounts. You bent them didnt you?

Keep the pics and info man!

Dunk is the only person i've heard talkin ***** about walsh. i've never heard of walsh stuff breaking. but hey, beleive what you want.

i still think you did a great job with that 426, keep it up

Me and my buddy tapped out the old cupplings for the swingarm since they woint fit nice and snug with the EX pivot bolt. So my buddy is a machinest and me machined up a titanium sleeve to replace to 2 peice cupplings here it is

Ok an for the motor mounts. I got the motor mounts through MXracer111 which has a guy that makes them pre bent so u just bolt right up. Here they are i dont know if u can see the bend or not in the pic

so they bends in the motor mounts caused the engine to be moved over to the left right?? that is why you didn't use spacers... i remember reading through bubs post on how to do the conversion, and he said that is has to move .006 (right, i can't remember off the top of my head) to the left...

what exhaust you running?

Yes the bends on the motor mounts eliminate spacers thats how the motor is shifted to the left because the mounts are already bent to the specifications. Also im running Power Pro's exhaust which i got throught Adam sick.Ill post pics wednesday when i get my subframe back from PC

I had a bushing we machined to go thru.....I think I thru it away.:D

I ended up putting the 2 stock bushings back in it, and going with a big 5/8" bolt. Yeah, I had to drill out my frame and swingarm spacers, but Im glad I did.

5/8" solid bolt, hardware store=3$.:D
